AI for writing

Enhancing My Productivity with AI

When the idea of starting a blog first struck me, I was so excited about the potential of AI to significantly enhance my productivity. My initial thought was to provide AI with a general topic, expecting it to generate corresponding articles effortlessly.

I must admit that I was quite naive! While the AI-generated articles are polished and impressive, I find myself uneasy with the outcomes.
The texts are so flawless that they come across as artificial, regardless of how much I try to moderate them.
When I read the content, it feels devoid of emotion.

AI in Personal Blogging

I recognize that in certain professional settings, AI tools can be incredibly beneficial, not only for speeding up the writing process but also for achieving a specific level of quality and consistency. But, I have reservations about using these tools in the realm of personal blogging.
In fact, there is nothing “personal” in letting an LLM do the works.
Nobody likes talking to a robot or playing games with AI.

One of my goal in writing blog is to refine my communication skills. Which can only be reached if I do the work myself.

I risk hindering my learning journey by over-relying on LLM. In the worst-case scenario, I might even lose interest in the writing altogether.

Authenticity

Another significant concern for me is authenticity. I have no desire to present a false version of myself to the public.
I dislike the idea of pretending to be someone I’m not. If I’m not a good writer, so be it!

For these reasons, I have decided to limit my use of AI to the bare minimum.
